2011 50c Australian Sea Life II – Hawksbill Turtle ½ oz Silver Proof Coin
This solitary sea turtle can be found in the coral reefs of northern
Australia. Listed as endangered, the Hawksbill Turtle matures at thirty
years of age and has a lifespan of up to fifty years. An adult Hawksbill
turtle can grow up to one metre in length.
This coin is struck to proof quality by The Perth Mint and issued as legal tender under the Australian Currency Act 1965.
Future release will include Starfish, Surgeonfish, Octopus, Manta Ray.
The coin’s reverse features a Hawksbill Turtle in colour and
incorporate the ‘P’ Perth Mint Mintmark. The inscription reads
“AUSTRALIAN SEA LIFE II – THE REEF and HAWKSBILL TURTLE”.

in a full colour shipper with illustrated coral reef and plush display
case and complete with Certificate of Authenticity.
