The obverse of the new 10
Euro silver coin shows the central part of the facade of the palace behind one
of the great fountains in the forecourt. The reverse depicts the lovely
greenhouse known as the "Palmenhaus". Built in the 19th century, it
was at the time the largest steel and glass construction in Europe and housed
exotic plants from all corners of the globe.
