Italy 2023 Alessandro Manzoni

The €2 coin pays tribute to the famous Italian writer Alessandro Manzoni and commemorates the 150th anniversary of his death. Manzoni is one of the most important representatives of 19th-century Italian literature, whose works contributed to the formation of the modern Italian language. The mintmark 'R' appears on the right-hand side and the engraver's initials 'AV' at the bottom.
