In the center is a globe tilted to the right with the inscription "WORLD FOOD PROGRAMME". Behind it is depicted the wheat bell, the corn cob and the rice penis – three grain crops that symbolize the world's main sources of food. To the right of the ball is the letter "I", written next to the letter "R", which means Repubblica Italiana, and at the bottom of them is a combination of the letters "U" and "P" of a smaller size - the initials of the engraver Uliana Pernazza.
