France has issued two 10 Euro coins relating to the character
'Harry Potter'. This 2021 French 10 Euro coin has the theme 'Hedwig'. Harry
Potter is the main character from the eponymous book and film series 'Harry
Potter'. Hedwig is a white snowy owl that Harry Potter received from Hagrid on
his eleventh birthday. Hedwig brought Harry Potter his letter of acceptance to
Hogwarts School on his eleventh birthday.
On the face of the coin Hedwig is depicted holding this letter of
acceptance in his beak. On the reverse of the coin is a representation of the
scar that Harry Potter has from the Death Curse that Voldemort cast on him.
Harry Potter is the only one who ever survived this Curse. Furthermore, the
value indication of 10 Euro and the letters 'RF' (Republic of France) are
shown.
