France has issued two 10 Euro
coins relating to the character 'Harry Potter'. This 2021 French 10 Euro coin
has the theme 'Harry Potter - Albus Dumbledore'. Harry Potter is the main
character from the eponymous book and film series 'Harry Potter'. The books
were written by the English author J.K. Rowling and is about wizards. Albus
Dumbledore is one of the most powerful wizards in this series and is the Wizard
Director of Hogwarts. Albus Dumbledore was known for researching and defeating
the dark mage Grindelwald. In addition, he was able to apply dragon's blood in
no fewer than 12 different ways.
The face of the coin features
an image of both Harry Potter and Albus Dumbledore, together with the year of
issue, 2021, and the letters 'RF' (Republic of France). The reverse of the coin
features the coat of arms of Hogwarts consisting of a lion, snake, eagle and
badger. Additionally the spell 'Draco Dormiens Nunquam Titillandus' (Never
tickle a sleeping dragon) is shown.
