the "600th anniversary of the discovery of Madeira Island". The 2
Euro commemorative coin shows the outline of the Madeira archipelago, which
consists of the three islands Madeira, Porto Santo and Desertas, as well as the
historical latitudes and longitudes. The inscription of the issue occasion is
arranged in a semicircle in Portuguese.
