The
latest release from
Perth Mint’s range of Simpsons-themed coins features the mother-daughter duo of
Marge and Maggie. The second design of 2021 features Marge with her youngest
child and second daughter, the speechless Maggie Simpson.
On
the obverse side - The Simpsons Marge & Maggie Silver Coins is a portrait
of Queen Elizabeth II. The popular fourth-generation design from the Royal Mint
of England, this artwork was created in 1998 by Ian Rank-Broadley. The design
element features the Queen’s head in right-profile relief with the Girls of
Great Britain and Ireland Tiara.
The
reverse comes with a depiction of both Marge and Maggie. Maggie Simpson is the
youngest of Marge and Homer’s three children and was an unplanned surprise. As
flashback episodes in the series show, Homer and Marge were happy and
financially stable with just two kids, but then Maggie came around.
